Our top wedding themes
With a wedding theme in mind, it allows you to start planning all the little touches which help make your day truly unique and perfect
There are a variety of ways to decorate a wedding, but a wise step to help bring inspiration is picking up a wedding theme. With a wedding theme in mind, it allows you to start planning all the little touches which help make your day truly unique and perfect. Let us know if you like any of the themes we’ve mentioned below. Enjoy!
The Colour Comeback
Colour has made a huge comeback. White weddings are still very popular, but the emergence of little pops of colour this year have made way for a massive splash of brights in 2017. The key items of colour have included bold wedding centrepieces, little pops of colour on bridal gowns and groomsmen’s outfits and of course vibrant rainbows of colour in bouquets and wedding flowers.
Natural Elements
Using natural elements from nature such as wood and stone, have made their way into wedding themes. There are so many ways to use this theme to complement your wedding, for example for an autumn wedding using a pine cone as a table name, incorporating a wedding garden (weather permitting) with natural elements with your wedding reception, using wooden wedding signs and many many more!
Creative Ice Breakers
Wedding couples are looking for fun ways to engage their guests throughout the wedding day. Unique entertainment such as fire eaters, impersonators and magicians are now being incorporated in a bid to create wonderful memories of the day for everyone. While fireworks remain a firm favorite, fun photo booths are also increasingly popular and create lovely keepsakes for the wedding party to take home.
Vintage, Vintage, Vintage
Want a wedding full of nostalgia? Vintage weddings have been huge for 2017. It’s no surprise — there is just something that feels so romantic about adding old-world items and antiques to your big day. From whimsical teacups to birdcages and bunting, there are so many ways to inject a retro feel into your vintage wedding theme. Many couples opt to include family heirlooms within their décor, giving a personal touch to their vintage wedding.
Pretty in Lace
Coinciding with the vintage theme is the trend of lace. The delicate and intricate nature of lace can be used in various ways to create a truly beautiful wedding. Use lace on your wedding gown, or as a feature on a long trailing veil, create lace layered wedding invitations, tie lace around mason jars to make unique centerpieces filled with single stem flowers… We just love lace!
Dynamic Desserts
Move over, sweet buffets. Dessert tables are the hottest new wedding trend and they’re a great idea if you’re looking for a creative way to display your wedding cake. There will always be a place for the traditional wedding cake but more couples are embracing alternatives such as doughnuts, cookies and even cheese.
