SIX OF THE BEST
There’s no doubt that the many independent bookshops, florists, greengrocers and boutiques that make our towns and villages vibrant and unique, need our support.
Being closed on and off over many months, means that sales have often relied solely on internet purchases - which not all shops can offer.
Many of us have made the shift to shopping local since the pandemic, so here are a few on our doorstep that we highly recommend.
PISTON GIN
Royal Porcelain Works, Severn Street, Worcester WR1 2ND
An award-winning distillery right on our doorstep. We’re huge fans of Piston Distillery. Their gin takes pride of place in our very own Lounge 98. Choose from a range of infused gins and vodkas and bring the bar to your home this lockdown.
THE STEAMHOUSE
16 Colemeadow Road, Redditch B98 9PB
The Steamhouse are a local bakery famous for their hand rolled bagels and doughnuts. From their HQ in Redditch they roll, boil and bake thousands of delicious treats. Jump the queue at lunch with their click and collect offering. They’ll have it ready and waiting at the right time for your speedy get away.

MACNEILS SMOKEHOUSE
Rushock Trading Estate WR9 0NR
A multiple award-winning local artisan producer of smoked goods. Using an imported vintage Norwegian smoking kiln, Macneils delicately smoke salmon, duck, chicken and more with nuances that they are extremely proud of. Shop online for a range of fish, smoked meat and an array of taster packs and hampers. It really is the most delicious melt in the mouth food which perfectly balances out any dish.
ROUGH HILL FARM SHOP
The Slough, Redditch B97 5JT
A small, family run farm located on the A448 just outside Redditch. Throughout the years, Rough Hill Farm has grown from an honesty box to a wooden shack and now a beautifully rustic farm shop. In addition to home grown pork and free-range eggs the shop provides their customers with local, British fruit and veg and dairy produce from Worcester based Mawley Town.
FLOWERS OF ELEGANCE

An independent, family run florist based in Droitwich, Worcestershire. Their friendly team of experienced florists dedicate themselves to creating bespoke bouquets, arrangements and tributes for special and personal occasions using the highest quality flowers.
